Orange County Wedding Vendors is now on Pinterest!

Last night we created our very own Orange County Wedding Vendors Pinterest account.

Our goal is to “pin” as many local wedding vendors as we find with a pin that includes a link back to their original site.

We will also pin other shiny wedding things as we feel inspired with a link back to the original site.

If you are on Pinterest and you are a bride or a wedding vendor in or out of the Southern California area, please leave a link to your Pinterest account below so that we can share your pins.

Pamper the Bride with a Spa Day at Burke Williams

On Monday afternoon, I had the pleasure of experiencing a spa day that was fit for any bride, any mother of the bride, or any member of the bridal party.

This was my first time at a spa and I wasn’t quite sure of what to expect.  When I opened the beautiful shuttered plantation style doors and walked in to their beautiful lobby, I knew instantly this was going to be such a special treat and a day to remember.  I have to admit that I was a little nervous but they immediately made me feel welcome and at ease.

I was given a tour of the spa and I felt immediately relaxed by how warm and tranquil the atmosphere was.  The hostess showed me the locker room, the jacuzzi, the quiet room, and the resting area.  After the tour, I was able to put on the white oversized plush robe and soak everything in before my first treatment.

My first treatment was to die for!  Akemi took me into the wet room for the Wet Room Treatment with a sugar scrub.  This was heavenly!  For a spa virgin, this was quite an experience but so relaxing.  I was also treated to a hair mask before the treatment began which I was able to leave in during the rest of the following treatments.  At the end of the day, my hair was so soft and thick.  I was given the rest of the bottle of hair mask to take home with me so that I could do more treatments at home.

Burke Williams does not miss the little details.  Before each treatment, the technicians took my robe and placed it in a warm dryer so that after each treatment, I can wrap the warm robe around me before the next treatment.

After the wet room treatment, Callie took me in for my massage treatment.  I was treated to The Burke Williams Massage.

This custom massage experience begins with a spray of our Signature blend of essential oils, and warm, moist heat pads that embrace your back to relax the muscles. Chinese herbs are used to polish the skin, focusing on the forearms, feet, and back. The service incorporates our Burke Williams massage lotion, a special blend of essential oils that creates our Signature scent. All of these elements combine to create a uniquely relaxing massage experience.

I just laid there and felt every care in the world disappear.  I think I actually may have even fallen asleep.  It was so relaxing!

After the massage, I relaxed awhile in the Relaxation Room which is a quiet room set up with plush reclining chairs, soft music, and magazines for you to enjoy a quiet moment between treatments or before or after just to have a moment to yourself with peace and quiet.  Pure bliss!

Then it was time for my Spa Style Facial with the Professional Strength Peel.  Kristine was so helpful and took such good care of me.  I really appreciated that Kristine took the time to analyze my skin and explain how she was going to customize the experience to meet my needs.  She also recommended that a bride would most likely benefit from coming in once a month a few months before her wedding day to optimize the benefits of the skin treatment. I was surprised to find that my facial also included  a shoulder, hand, and foot massage.

After the treatments, I was able to take a shower and enjoy the use of their special amenities.  The dressing area included all of the comforts of home and anything you might need if you were planning on getting ready to go out after your day at the spa, such as hair dryer, curling iron, hair straightener, and so much more.

One of the things that I continually noticed throughout my experience is that Burke Williams does not miss any opportunity to make you feel welcome and provides every special detail that would help make your day all yours to relax and enjoy.

I had no reason at all to feel nervous.  I look forward to returning sometime soon.

How would you describe yourself?
I’m a mom with a passion for design and obsession with sippy cups and lunch containers.

Tell us a little about your family.
I’m married to a wonderful man named Mike and we have 2 beautiful daughters, Michaela & Mia.

When did you begin your business?
I began designing wedding invitations in 1999.

What inspired you to start your business?
What inspired me to start my business was designing my sister’s wedding invitation back in 1999. I re-designed their invitation for their 5th & 10th anniversaries. I plan to do that every five years and start a tradition for us.

What has been your sweetest success story?
All of my brides have been a blessing to my business. If it weren’t for them getting married, I wouldn’t have created wonderful connections to the sweetest couples. I am successful because of them.

How do you prioritize time with your family?
Since I’m a stay at home mom, I spend most of my days with my girls and I work mostly in the evenings. Family is first and foremost.

Where do you see yourself in 5yrs?
I want to have a professional studio space where I can showcase my work and expand my services.

What was your most memorable wedding? Why?
Besides my own? I have to say my friends’ Isaiah & Heidi’s wedding. It was planned in a mere 2 months and we had to rush to get the invitations sent out. Aside from their chaotic timeline, they asked me to sing in the ceremony and the reception was a huge celebration. I had tons of fun.

Who are some of your favorite wedding vendors that inspire you?
Utterly Engaged http://www.utterlyengaged.com
Wiley Valentine http://wileyvalentine.com/
Paper Crew http://papercrew.com/
Hi-Fi Weddings http://hifiweddings.com
100 Layer Cake http://www.100layercake.com

Share your favorite quote or inspirational thought:
Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I design all paper related materials for your wedding. ie: programs, favor tags, menus, escort and place cards, water bottle labels, etc…

I also offer custom photo booth guest books. It gives your guests the opportunity to share the photos they took at the photo booth. It is also designed to match your wedding motif and can be custom to any photo booth photo size!

How would you describe yourself?
We are a couple in love, who captures other couples in love. Photography is our passion. We are so lucky to have a career doing something we love. Moments are our life. We love to travel, spend time with our friends and family, sip a great glass of wine and enjoy life!

Tell us a little about your family.
We have been married for 10 years, it is just the two of us for now and our Dog Max.

When did you begin your business?
We have been shooting in both the commercial and portrait photography fields for almost 14 years now and have worked for other companies. We started our own business at Sipper Photography 3 years ago specializing in Weddings, Portraits and Events as a husband and wife team.

What inspired you to start your business?
After many years of shooting and working for other studios we decided to do our own thing. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to start a business and we were up for the challenge. We LOVE what we do and are thankful for every day we get to do it.

What has been your sweetest success story?
We both went to school for photography and have worked in the industry for many years. To still be in our industry after all of these years is the sweetest success. Also, the fact that we are both photographers and get to work with each other is great.

How do you prioritize time with your family?
Since we mostly work from home when we aren’t out shooting, we can work all of the time. We decided we need to have business hours, so at a certain point we shut down the computers, phone, email and relax. Also, since we work a lot in the evenings and on the weekends we try and have at least one day a week that is just for us.

Where do you see yourself in 5yrs?
Still shooting and doing what we love! We would also like to have a studio location at some point. Also, we are working on more destination weddings, so we hope to be world travelers by then.

What was your most memorable wedding?
You know each wedding that we do is memorable in its own way. We enjoy sharing this special time with our couples as this is one of the biggest days of their life and they trust us to be there and document the moments. It is such a honor!

Share your favorite quote or inspirational thought:
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you’ve imagined. ” – Henry David Thoreau

Is there anything else you would like to add?
We also offer Engagement and Boudoir sessions. A Boudoir session makes a great gift for your spouse-to-be or later as an Anniversary gift.

Do you send out a monthly newsletter?
Currently, we don’t have a monthly newsletter as we update via our blog and Facebook page on a regular basis.
